Sustrans

At Springfield Primary School, we are committed to improving our health and well being and we participate each year in the Sustrans Programme as part of our ECO schools action plan.  Sustrans teaches children about having an active lifestyle, keeping them safe on the roads and encourages them to travel to school in an active way.  Springfield Primary School has achieved the Silver Award with the Sustrans Programme and we are aiming for the Gold Award.

Beverley from Sustrans regularly visits our school to deliver fun and active activities.  Some of our children have brought their bikes to school to learn how to ride and to stay safe on the roads.  Have a look at the slideshow below to view some of the fantastic opportunities the Sustrans programme delivers.
